Snow mushroom is white-yellow colored with a soft jelly like texture and looks like an
underwater coral. It grows commonly across the Asian continent, Pacific Islands, New
Zealand, Australia and Central America.
Chaga mushroom is cultivated on birch trees in Korea, Southern Canada, Northern Europe,
Siberia and Russia. This mushroom has a woody texture and looks like a burnt charcoal but
has an orange soft core inside it.
Reishi is reddish in color and widely known as the divine mushroom. It is said to have
mystical characteristics and over the past several thousands of years used for immortality
and longevity.
Shitake is popularly known as a flower mushroom. It is a medicinal fungi which has been
cultivated in East Asia since the 1200’s for its aphrodisiacal qualities, and is a symbol of
youthfulness and virility. Japanese started its cultivation on Shii trees and hence the name
Shitake came into being.
